Returns Policy

1. Returns for Business (B2B) Customers

1.1 Conditions for B2B Returns

  • Returns must be requested within 14 calendar days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and include all documentation.
  • Customized or specially ordered items are non-returnable, except in cases of defect.
  • Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is defective or incorrect.

1.2 B2B Returns Process

  1. Contact hello@basicobd.com with the subject line "B2B Return Request – [Order Number]".
  2. Provide your business name, VAT ID, order number, and reason for return.
  3. Wait for approval and return instructions. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  4. Securely package the item and return it using a trackable shipping method.

1.3 Inspection & Refunds for B2B Returns

  • All returned items will be inspected before approval.
  • If approved, a refund will be processed within 14 days via the original payment method.
  • If the item does not meet return conditions, it will be sent back at the customer’s expense.
  • No additional return rights apply beyond what is stated in this policy.

2. Returns for Private Consumers (B2C) in the EU

2.1 Right to Withdraw (EU Consumer Law)

Private consumers purchasing from our store within the EU have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights.

2.2 How to Initiate a B2C Return

  1. Notify us at hello@basicobd.com within 14 days of receiving the item.
  2. Use the subject line "B2C Return Request – [Order Number]" and provide:
    • Your name, order number, and reason for return (optional).
  3. You will receive return instructions. The item must be shipped within 14 days after notifying us.

2.3 Conditions for B2C Returns

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and properly packaged.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is defective or incorrect.
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days after receiving the returned item.
  • The customer is responsible for any loss in value of the goods if returned in a non-original condition.

3. Defective or Incorrect Goods (B2B & B2C)

3.1 Reporting Issues

If you receive a defective or incorrect item, notify us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@basicobd.com with:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographic evidence

3.2 Resolution

For B2C customers, defective goods are covered under the EU legal guarantee of 2 years (Directive 1999/44/EC). This includes the right to:

  • Repair the item
  • Replacement of the item
  • Partial or full refund, depending on the severity of the defect

For B2B customers, defects will be handled based on the agreed terms of sale and do not fall under consumer protection laws.

4. Exclusions & Limitations

The following items cannot be returned unless defective:

  • Customized or special-order products
  • Sealed hygiene or health products (if unsealed)
  • Digital/downloadable goods (if activated or downloaded)
  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling

6. Returns for Non-EU Consumers

For consumers outside the EU, return policies are determined by local consumer laws. Unless required by local regulations, we do not guarantee a right of withdrawal for non-EU consumers.

7. General Customer Responsibilities

  • All returned items must be properly packaged to prevent transit damage.
  • Non-compliance with the return process may result in rejection of the return.
